Our white tail deer chandeliers are real white tail deer antlers, which the male of the species sheds every winter. The white tailed deer is brown or tan in the summer and becomes grayish brown every winter. It is further characterized by a white color on its throat, around the nose, and its eyes, as well as on the underside of the tail and on its stomach.
The antlers of male white tail deer usually grow from March or April until August or early September, in which the antlers should have been fully grown. Deer antlers are the fastest growing living tissues, growing a maximum of a half inch per day on their peak. The antler development process depends on the nutrition and genes of the male deer. While the antler is growing, it is very sensitive to touch, very delicate, and covered in velvet, which the white tail deer would rub off or shed by rubbing against saplings.
In northern states, white tail deer shed their antlers earlier than the ones in the southern states. Here at Antler Lighting Warehouse, our white tail deer chandeliers are antler sheddings, so no actual white tail deer is harmed or killed to make our top quality and beautiful chandeliers. All our real white tail deer chandeliers are available with optional shades and downlight. We can also design a custom white tail deer chandelier for you.
All our white tail deer chandeliers have concealed junction boxes and wiring to preserve their natural beauty and appearance. They come with an attractive real antler light socket cover to conceal the fixture, too. Choose from sun-bleached white or natural brown white tail deer antler chandeliers. You get a three-foot chain and an eight-foot wire with every order of a white tail deer chandelier. You can also request additional wire and chain.
